Hovering, tracking, circling, formation ... These words related to UAV functions are no longer unfamiliar to ordinary consumers. Aerial photography, plant protection, environmental protection, surveying and mapping, electricity, logistics ... The application of drones in these industries has long been considered as explosive news. Therefore, when I recall that my brother and I took a taxi to fly to the outfield in 2014, the driver's surprised expression when he saw the drone in the back row and all kinds of problems, big and small, in the dozens of kilometers' drive later, it is easy to make the castle feel a trance. Is this memory true? Now bringing drones into taxis can't arouse any interest of drivers. For people, four years is enough to change many things, but for an industry, can four years really make such a big leap?

Maturity' is a vague word. If we don't rise to the height of academic research, we can still use it to describe a relatively broad perception of an industry. It can be used to express the feeling of product stability, or to evaluate the production chain of the whole industry, or to trust the application of drones in specific industries. Participants in the UAV field are very diverse, and they can be specialized R&D personnel, entrepreneurs, headhunters, industry users, investors and so on. Although there are obvious differences in knowledge system and industry perspective, they often show surprising consistency in the perception of' maturity': the UAV industry has matured from product performance to functional operation, from technology realization to industrial chain. Is this really the case?

Although in a rapid' progress' (whether it is progress or not, sometimes it is related to majors, sometimes it is related to beliefs, sometimes it is related to morality, and sometimes it is only related to age. In this era, almost no industry is static. However, if a new industry has existed for a long time, its scale changes are relatively stable, its talent utilization and training are highly subdivided and effective, the uncertainty faced by related technologies is controllable, and its reliability is easy to guarantee, then the industry can often be regarded as relatively' mature'. In this way, we might as well take a look at the' maturity' of the UAV industry from the aspects of development time, scale change, talent situation and technical stability.
